You have got to love spring!! With the flood the ground around the yard and fields was very muddy. Of course children cannot resist...

Blizzard #57...
This was are second to last (so far, who knows if we are really done) blizzard of this year. We were stranded for two days and the interstates were shut down.
Master Bathroom
In March Kent worked on the vanity for the Master bathroom. For over a year now we have had just a counter top and sink sitting on a wooden frame, so it was nice to finally see some sort of cabinet in our bathroom

Yummy!
At four months Marshall's doctor said to start giving Marshall rice cereal. This is his first taste of solid food. He really liked it!

Christmas 2008
For Christmas we went to my parents place. We had our typical Christmas. We were up early on Christmas day to open presents and then mom made a HUGE dinner and the grandmas, Kayla, Will, us, Mike, Tonya and the kids, mom and dad, and uncle Russell pigged out until we couldn't move and then we grazed all day afterwards.

Marshall's Baptism
After THREE attempts to baptize Marshall, I did not let the circumstances of December 21st keep me from having him baptized. Because of the snow storm, only Will, One of Marshall's Godfathers was able to make it for the weekend, Steve and Laureen were snowed in. Also, Kent's dad got sick that weekend so his parents didn't make it. THEN that morning Kent woke up sick and could not make it. So, other than reschedule AGAIN, we went on with it.
Eggs!
Also in early December, our hens starting laying eggs! At first it was 2 or 3, now we are getting a little over a dozen a day. We have let our co-workers know that we are selling eggs for $1.50/doz and so far, people at my work seem to not be too excited about it (darn city slickers! :) ) but Kent is like a rock star at his work place and they are selling like hot cakes over there! He already has regular clientele that almost leaves ME scrambling (scrambling - get it? HA! ) to keep eggs at home. The eggs are so yummy! Mia was pretty excited that her chickens started laying eggs, but she was a little "freaked out" about eating them.
Snow Storm #1
In early December we got our first snow storm. At the height of the storm, we couldn't see the barn or chicken coop from the back door. Once it was done snowing and blowing this is what we were left with:

Christmas Star
Thanksgiving
This Thanksgiving, we spent it quietly at home. Since I had gone back to work the Monday before, I thought a long weekend far from home would be even more draining. So we had the traditional dinner for just Kent, Mia, and Me.
